MVK Music Group Signs Ventruss to Managed Roster

As promised, MVK Music Group announced another one of their 3 planned new managed band additions, adding Baton Rouge, LA based Metalcore outfit Ventruss to their Managed Artist Roster. MVK Music Group has stated that they plan to keep their roster of managed artists to a limited number of artists / bands until they eventually add more artist managers to their staff. They also pride themselves on having a diverse roster, with artists from a wide array of genres and music styles.

MVK Music Group’s Director of Artist Relations, and Co-Owner, Attila Czako, who will also act as the band’s direct Artist Manager, had this to say about the addition of Ventruss to their roster, “I am extremely happy that we {MVK Music Group} and Ventruss found each other. It makes me even more excited to have the opportunity to personally take the lead on this management venture. We have added another element of music style that we did not have in our arsenal, which is great. By getting to know them further, it became perfectly clear to me that Ben, Shawn, Jesse, Steven, and BJ have been working extremely hard to get where they are right now. Their sound continues to develop and I am very sure that they will hold many great surprises for me and their fans for the future. As I mentioned, I am extremely thrilled that I and MVK Music Group can be part of this journey.”

We interviewed Ventruss about the announcement and being added to MVK’s roster as well as what they have planned for the future of their music:

What does this announcement and working with and under the guidance of MVK Music Group mean to you guys? 

Ventruss: This is the next step to pushing our brand further. It means our hard work has been noticed and we are thankful to work with a team with the knowledge and the right guidance to take us to where we want to be.

How did you guys meet & how did Ventruss form?    

Ventruss: The band formed July 8, 2012 and has seen various lineup changes throughout the years. The current lineup has been together since 2018, comprised of fellow musicians active in the Gulf Coast music scene. 

What is the ultimate direction for Ventruss?

Ventruss: To continuously put out quality product and travel world. Our goal is to become a career band and a top name in the industry.

Who has influenced you guys the most musically?  

Ventruss: Sevendust, Trivium, Lamb of God, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, etc. We can go on and on for days.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?   

Ventruss: Musically we are heavy and melodic. Our music paints a picture. Lyrically we delve into the darker side of situations while keeping a consistent flow to the tone musically.

How would you describe your creative songwriting process?  

Ventruss: Music always comes first, then lyrics. But to be honest we don’t have a strict creative process. When inspiration comes it comes. We take advantage of those moments. We all have an input and a direct say in what we want.

Are there any other bands or artists that you guys would love to collaborate with?

Ventruss: Tons. That’s another one that could go on for days. A few off the top are Matt Heafy from Trivium, Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust, Jonny Hawkins from Nothing More, Paul McCoy for 12 Stones, Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach, Elijah Witt from Cane Hill, Jovin Webb from American Idol, Eminem. The list goes on.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Ventruss: More pay per streams. Make it more affordable for bands to tour. 

What’s next for Ventruss?  

Ventruss: Writing and recording a full length record and having it out by mid 2021. We’re in the process of creating our best work yet. We can’t wait for the world to hear this version of Ventruss.

Ventruss becomes the 11^th member of MVK’s managed artists roster, joining the ranks of Chout, SoulSwitch, Young Other, Brendan Maier, 7 Stone Riot, Cody Weaver, Devils Envy, Kill The Imposter, THE DEV & Isabella Snow.
