Owls & Aliens Embarks on their First Coast to Coast U.S. Tour, Release O&A Beer

Emerging hard rock band Owls & Aliens has been making waves in the music industry with their unique sound and electrifying performances. With their first Coast to Coast U.S. tour underway, the band is taking their live shows to the next level by performing in new cities across the country, including a rare, live acoustic set to celebrate the release of their very own craft beer, “Sammie’s Black Lager.”

For many musicians, touring is a rite of passage. It’s an opportunity to connect with fans, build a following, and showcase their music to new audiences. But for Owls & Aliens, this tour is about more than just playing their music in new cities. It’s about sharing their passion of performing their music live with their fans and creating a unique experience that they’ll never forget.

Sammie’s Black Lager is a collaboration between Owls & Aliens and Broken Strings Brewery, a music themed craft brewery located in Orlando, FL, where the band will be for a live show at West End Trading Co. in Sanford, FL next Thursday, April 6th, and then the live acoustic set at the brewery next Saturday the 8th . The beer is named after the band’s beloved three eyed owl mascot, Sammie, and features a bold, dark flavor that perfectly complements the band’s hard-hitting sound. And while the beer will be abundantly flowing on tap and in cans at the event, the acoustic set is a one-of-a-kind event that fans won’t want to miss.

The acoustic set is a departure from Owls & Aliens’ usual high-energy performances. Instead of electric guitars and pounding drums, the band will be playing stripped-down versions of their songs on acoustic instruments. This allows fans to hear a different side of the band’s music, and provides a more intimate setting for the performance.

The tour has already seen Owls & Aliens perform in some of the country’s most iconic cities , including Sand Diego, Seattle, Sacramento, Scottsdale, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Orlando among others. And with the addition of the acoustic set, the band is taking their live show to a whole new level. Fans can expect to hear hit tracks like “Tsunami” and “These Vices” live and full of lots of energy.

But the acoustic set & beer release isn’t the only thing that sets this tour apart. Owls & Aliens had the opportunity to showcase their talent at “Apocalypse in the Desert Metal Music Festival” at the Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas last weekend.

As the tour continues, Owls & Aliens are proving that they’re more than just a hard rock band. They’re a group of passionate musicians who are committed to creating unique experiences for their fans. And with the expected success of Sammie’s Black Lager and the acoustic set, it’s clear that they’re well on their way to achieving that goal.

We interviewed Owls & Aliens regarding their tour so far, the beer release and more:

What has the tour been like so far for you guys?      

O&A: Absolutely amazing! We’ve been traveling through a lot of new places for us, like San Diego and Arizona and now Texas, so just being able to see so many different things and meet so many awesome people has been incredible. And the food has been delicious! There have been lots of challenges of course, but we’ve persevered through them all, and it’s made us stronger for it.

Any memorable events so far on your first US tour? 

O&A: There’s been so many already it’s hard to list them all! Ocean Beach in San Diego was an incredible couple of days. We played in a thrift store that is apparently one of only three all ages venues in the whole SD area, and it was just such a cool vibe with a great crowd. And our day off the next day was a blast checking out the beach and the rocks. Nick and Dakotah had a little fire spinning adventure on the beach late at night, it was great. Arizona was surprisingly cold, but absolutely beautiful. We finally got to play with our buddies NVRLESS who we lost to in the very final battle of the Welcome To Rockville Twitch competition last year. And of course Las Vegas was quite an experience, being right on the Fremont strip. The venue and stage at the Fremont Country Club was incredible as well, and we got to meet Brian, our manager from MVK, in person for the very first time. We had a couple days off that we spent in Vegas too, with some crazy stories… 

You guys decided to make this a coast to coast tour…what was the thought behind that?

O&A: As soon as we joined MVK Music Group last year we made it a goal to make it to Florida. And if you’re going to go that far, you might as well play shows the whole way. We tried several times over the past 2 years to put something together and just couldn’t come through each time, but we learned a lot from those failures and finally we were able to put it all together and tie it in with the festival in Las Vegas. We just believed we could do it and refused to give up until we made it happen.

You guys have had the opportunity to play some shows with another MVK band, Ventruss, what has that been like?

O&A: It’s been a dream come true! We love those dudes so much and have been talking with them for awhile, so to finally be together playing shows just feels right. All of those guys are not only super good dudes, but also incredibly talented with their instruments and have such good chemistry and stage presence. We can’t wait for the remaining shows in Texas with them, and to try some authentic Louisiana crawfish courtesy of Ben!

You guys are playing a rare acoustic set to celebrate your own craft beer, can you elaborate on that and what it means to you guys?

O&A: It’s very special to us because we haven’t really played that many acoustic sets in our career and quite honestly several of our songs started out with just acoustic guitars, so to be able to break them down and play these more stripped down and alternate versions of the songs is going to be a lot of fun. Plus there’s the two acoustic tracks on the album, Mimosas and Is It All A Dream that we’ll get to play that we rarely do. And then the beer release thing is so exciting, we are all big fans of beer and Brian actually mentioned the possibility of something like this years ago, so again to just see it come to fruition is surreal.  

What’s next for O&A?

O&A: When we get home from this tour, we will be finishing up the last of our new songs we’ve been working on, and looking to get an EP recorded when the timing is right. We will also be preparing for our show at the Whisky A-Go-Go on Friday, May 12th opening for Lynch Mob, which we’re absolutely stoked for, and tickets are available for sale now. We also have a big nationwide summer tour opening for some incredible bands that we can’t quite announce yet, but it’s going to be huge for us.

O&A: We just appreciate all of our fans, friends and family so much, thank everyone that has come out to the shows, bought merch, listened to our music, and just supported us in any way, it really means the world to us because without you we literally couldn’t be doing this. Thank you to our manager Brian and the entire team at MVK Music Group for believing in us and helping us make this happen, we look forward to taking over the world together. We love you all, remember to love yourself and love everyone around you in this world. Be yourself too, do what you want as long as you’re not hurting yourself or others. Know that this world is a beautiful place and that there is always hope.
